Hayes & Yeading United's reserve team went down to an unfortunate defeat at the hands of Harrow, despite having the upper hand in much of the general play.

United started brightly with Robert Gradwell and Scott Orphanou exchanging passes before the former hit the post with his shot. Then moments later, Toby Little slid the ball throguh to Orphanou but Joe Day was able to keep his low shot out.

Harrow opened the scoring in the 6th minute when Myles Ajayi volleyed the ball into the roof of the net to reward former United player Charles Adeyemi's good work on the right.

Untied resumed control of the match with Gradwell connecting with Little's corner but Day comfortably colected his shot. Then another Little cross, this time from the right wing, was headed goalwards by Orphanou but Day pushed the ball out. Gradwell followed up but couldn't get a good connection and Day smothered his shot.

Harrow almost scored again when Seth Whitfield followed up his own shot which was blocked by Sol Munyon with another shot which Chris Baker did well to catch with a full length dive.

Baker repeated the feat to prevent Charles Ball from scoring but Harrow capped their best spell of the match with a second goal as Adeyemi crossed the ball into the danger area, and althoguh Jack Pattison blocked Ball's shot, Erkan Ozerek was following up to place the ball beyond the retreating United defence.

Before half time, United's Kraig Rochester created a chance for himself following a one two with Franck Padovani but his lob didn't clear the well positioned Day.

The second half was less eventful, but United started strongly, with Little layingt he ball off to the onrushing Orphanou but Day beat away his low shot.

A quick counter attack saw Kurt Morlese run onto Day's long clearance and he held off Pattison before firing in a low shot which Baker blocked.

The home side had a strong penalty appeal turned down when Alex Duffy slid in to tackle Warren Whitely, and it was Whitely who ot the next effort in on goal, but Baker was again equal to the shot.

Hayes & Yeading Untied pressed for a way back into the match late on, but Padovani shot straight at Day after wrigglign free of his marker. The French striker then headed Yves Ndengue's corner over. Another Ndengue corner was cleared by Brandon Martin as far as Daniel Mehmet whose volley was held by Day and with that the two goal victory for Harrow Borough was confirmed.
